2 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO A}lENDING CHAPTER
18.24 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO TENTATIVE
) MAPS TO PROVIDE THAT AN APPROVED OR CONDITIONALLY APPROVED
TENTATIVE IlAP SHALL EXPIRE 24 MONTHS AFTER ITS APPROVAL OR CON-
4 DITIONAL APPROVAL, EXCEPT WHEN AN EXTENSION FOR A PERIOD NOT TO
EXCEED AN ADDITIONAL 12 MONTHS IS GRANTED.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
6 DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 18.24.010 of the San Bernardino
8 Municipal Code is amended to read:

"18.24.010 within twenty-four months of the date of
10
approval or conditional approval of a tentative map, except for
11
any time extension granted by the Commission as specified in
]2
Section 18.24.030, the subdivider may cause the property or any
]3
part thereof to be surveyed, and a final map to be prepared in
14
accordance with the tentative map as approved, and in accordance
]5 with the provisions of this title and the Map Act. The map shall
be filed with the County Recorder after having been approved as

prescribed under this chapter."

SECTION 2. Section 18.24.020 of the San Bernardino
19
Municipal Code is amended to read:

"18.24.020 Failure to record a final map within twenty-
21
four months of the date of approval or conditional approval of
22
a tentative map, except for any time extension granted by the
23
Commission, shall terminate all proceedings. Before a final map
24
may thereafter be recorded, a new tentative map shall be filed
25
in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 18.20."

SECTION 3. Section 18.24.030 of the San Bernardino
27
Municipal Code is amended to read:

"18.24.030 The Commission may grant an extension of time

1 up to but not exceeding twelve months beyond the twenty-four
2 months allowed for recording a final map. Any application for
3
such time extension shall be made in writing to the Commission
4
not less than thirty days prior to the expiration of the twenty-
5
four months allowed."
