ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION
3.68.020 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO iVIUNICIPAL CODE TO PROVIDE FOR
RELEASE OF LIEN TO BE ['1AILED TO PROPERTY OWNER.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 3.68.020 Subsection B of the San
SECTION 1.
7 Bernardino Municipal Code is amended to read:

"B. After confirmation of the assessments by the ~1ayor and
9 Common Councilor upon decision of the Mayor and Commor, Council of
10 an appeal, a notice of lien for the amounts determined to be owed
11 for abatement shall be recorded with the Recorder of San
12 Bernardino County by the City Clerk. The City may additionally
13 directly bill the owner for payment. The direct billing procedure
14 is discretionary and failure of a property owner to receive a bill
15 shall not affect the validity of any assessment, lien or
16 collection hereunder. Upon payment of the charges, a releasp. of
17 lien suitable for recording shall be mailed by the City Clerk to
18 the property owner or the person paying the charges."
