HomeMy WebLinkAboutMC-206 22 23 24 25 28 -. ,~ .. . 1 ORDINANCE NO. !1r..2G6 2 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION 15.52.040 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROVIDE THAT 3 THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT AND BUILDING AND SAFETY DEPARTMENT MAY APPROVE USES OF MOBILE HOMES, AUTOMOBILE TRAILERS AND TRAILER 4 COACHES ON COMMERCIAL PREMISES UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES, AND ON RESIDENTIAL PREMISES DURING PERIOD OF CONSTRUCTION OF 5 RESIDENCES. 6 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO Db ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 7 SECTION 1. Section 15.52.040 Subsection B of the San 8 Bernardino Municipal Code is amended to read: 9 "B. Upon approval of the Building and Safety Department and 10 the Planning Department of the City of San Bernardino and subject 11 to any conditions which may be imposed, a mobile home, automobile 12 trailer, or trailer coach may be parked on any commercial premises 13 for a period not to exceed two years for a use permitted in the 14 zoning district in which the premises are located; provided, that 15 where extenuating circumstances are shown, the Building and Safety 16 Department and the Planning Department may grant extensions, each 17 extension to be for an additional period not to exceed one year, 18 and may impose or modify any conditions deemed appropriate." 19 SECTION 2: Section 15.52.040 Subsection C of the San 20 Bernardino Municipal Code is amended to read: 21 "C. A mobile home may be parked on the premises of a mobile home sales lot for use as an office for the mobile home lot for a period of time in excess of two years as fixed by the Building and Safety Department and Planning Department; provided, however, that such departments may approve the permanent use of the mobile home 26 for the office after a period of two years has expired, subject to 27 any conditions which may be imposed in compliance with applicable ordinances and regulations." MC-206 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 20 21 22 23 24 28 ~. " 1 SECTION 3. section 15.52.040 Subsection D of the San 2 Bernardino Municipal Code is amended to read: 3 "D. Upon and after approval by the Building and Safety 4 Department and the Planning Department, the use of a mobile home, 5 automobile trailer, or trailer coach may be permitted for human 6 habitation for a period of one year or any portion thereof during 7 the construction or repair of a residential building located on 8 the same premises, subject to any conditions which may be imposed 9 in compliance with local ordinances and regulations; provided that the mobile home, automobile trailer, or trailer coach shall be removed within twenty-four hours after completion of the construc- tion or repair project, or at the expiration of one year, which- ever first occurs."
