SECTION 1. Section 14.08.070 Subsection D of the ~;an
9 Bernardino Municipal Code is amended to read:

"D. Maintain an office in the City, which office shall be
11 open during all the usual busrness hours, with its telephone
12 1 iE: ted HI diLector ies of the telephone company serv ing the City,
13 and be so operated that cornplaints and requests for repairs or
14 adjustment may be received at any time, day or nisht, seven days a
15 weeL, or provide a local telephone directory listing any toll free

17 basis for the receipt of COIlsumer cOhlplairlts; proviaed, 11owever,
18 that the Mayor and Common Council may, by resolution, exempt any
