2 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING CHAPTER
19.56 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE TO ESTABLISH VARIATIONS
3 OF MINIMUM STANDARDS FOR PARKING SPACES WITHIN ENCLOSED
STRUCTURES.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO
5 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 19.56.010 of the San Bernardino Municipal
7 Code is amended by adding thereto Subsection E to read:

"E. NOLwithstanding the provisions hereinbefore set forth,
9 upon approval of the Director of Public Works/City Engineer,
10 parking spaces within enclosed parking structures of the City may
11 have a stall width of eight feet zero inches or greater."

SECTION 2. Section 19.56.160 of the San Bernardino Municipal
13 Code is amended to read:

"19.56.160 Stall width standard.
15 Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter to the
16 contrary, the stall width standard for parking spaces in multi-
17 level parking garages or in enclosed parking garages may be
18 reduced to not less than eight feet zero inches upon approval of
19 the Director of Public Works/City Engineer. In addition, a five
20 percent reduction in the standards for curb length per car, stall
21 depth, and aisle width as set forth in the table "Standards for
22 Parking Access" (Section 19.56.0101 shall be permitted."
