2 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION
5.04.030 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO
3 BUSINESS LICENSE FEES TO PROVIDE FOR PAYMENT OF FEES FOR
PRECEDING THREE YEARS WHEN BUSINESS WAS OPERATED WITHOUT A
4 BUSINESS LICENSE, AND TO MAKE REVISION APPLICABLE TO ANNUAL AND
QUARTERLY BUSINESS LICENSES.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
6 DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 5.04.030 subsection I. of the San
8 Bernardino Municipal Code is amended to read:

"I. In issuing a quarterly or annual business license for
]0 the first time for a business which has previously been operated
II without a business license, the City Clerk shall charge the fee
12 for the entire current year or portion of the year during which
13 the business was in operation, to and including the current
14 quarter. The City Clerk shall also charge for the three
15 preceding years or portions of those years during which the
16 business was in operation. The City Clerk shall not collect an
17 amount exceeding the license fee for the entire current year in
18 which the license is issued, plus the three preceding years or
19 portion of those years during which the business was operated."
