ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING CHAPTER 2.46
ND SECTION 3.08.020 SUBSECTION A OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL
ODE TO MAKE TECHNICAL CHANGES RELATING TO THE POSITION OF
XECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF EMERGENCY SERVICES, DIRECTOR OF EMERGENCY
I ERVICES, AND DIRECTOR OF EMERGENCY SERVICES/RISK MANAGEMENT.

SECTION 1. Section 2.46.030 of the San Bernardino Municipal
8 Code is amended to read:

"2.46.030 Membership.
10 Membership of the City Disaster Council, hereinafter called
11 'San Bernardino Disaster Council', which is hereby created, shall
12 consist of the following:
13
A. The Mayor, who shall be chairman;
14
B. The Executive Director of Emergency Services, who
15 shall be vice-chairman;
16
C. The Director of Emergency Services;
17
D. Such chiefs of emergency services as are provided
18 for in a current emergency plan of the City, adopted pursuant to
19 this chapter;
20
E. Such representatives of civic, business, labor,
21 eterans, professional, or other organizations having an official
22 emergency responsibility, as may be appointed by the Mayor with
23 the advice and consent of the Common Council."

SECTION 2. Section 2.46.050 of the San Bernardino Municipal
25
ode is amended to read:
"2.46.050 Executive Director of Emergency Services; Director
26
27 f Emergency Services.
28 An Executive Director of Emergency Services and a Director of

mergency Services shall be appointed by the Mayor subject to the

approval of the Common Council."
I SECTION 3. Section 2.46.060 Subsection B of the San
IIBernardino Municipal Code is amended to read:
II "B. The Executive Director and the Director shall, under the

Ireneral supervision of the Mayor and with the assistance of the
ivarious chiefs of emergency services, develop emergency plans and
I
ranage the emergency programs of the City; and shall have such
lother powers and duties as may be assigned by the Mayor."

~ SECTION 4. Section 3.08.020 Subsection A of the San
~ernardino Municipal Code is amended to read:

I "A. The Director of Emergency Services/Risk Management, or

I
his authorized agent, shall certify and approve claims and demands

for the payment of workers' compensation benefits as conforming to
15
a budget approved by a resolution of the Mayor and Common Council
16
and shall prepare checks/warrants for such unaudited claims and
17
emands. "

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was duly
19
dopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
ernardino at a
regular
meeting thereof, held on

the
