ORDINANCE NO. MC-500
2 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTIONS
10.52.020 AND 10.52.030 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE TO
3 INCLUDE NEWLY INCORPORATED TERRITORY ON DEL ROSA, BETWEEN
NINETEENTH STREET AND CITRUS AVENUE, AT 40 MPH; AND TO CHANGE "D"
4 STREET, BETWEEN TWENTY-EIGHTH STREET AND MARSHALL BOULEVARD, FROM
35 MPH TO 25 MPH.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO
6 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
7 SECTION 1. Section 10.52.020 of the San Bernardino Municipal
8 Code is amended to read:
9 "10.52.020 Thirty-five miles an hour.
10 In accordance with and pursuant to the authority of Sections
11 22357, 22358, 22360, and 22413 of the California Vehicle Code, the
12 Mayor and Common Council do hereby determine and declare, upon the
13 basis of an engineering and traffic investigation, that a prima
14 facie speed limit of thirty-five miles per hour shall be
15 established on the following streets or portions thereof in the
16 City:
17 Atlantic Avenue: between Palm Avenue and Cienega Court.
18 'D' Street: between Sixth Street and Twenty-Eighth Street.
19 'E' Street: between Tenth Street and Highland Avenue.
20 Eucalyptus Avenue: between Mill Street and Rialto Avenue.
21 Fortieth Street: between Waterman Avenue and Electric
22 Avenue.
23 Forty-eighth Street: between Electric Avenue and Kendall
24 Drive.
25 'G' Street: between Sixth Street and Marshall Boulevard.
26 Gilbert Street: between Waterman Avenue and a point two
27 hundred seven feet easterly of Cedar Street.
28 Highland Avenue: between 'I' Street and 'E' Street; between

5 Marshall Boulevard: between Little Mountain Drive and Ladera
6 Road 1 between Waterman Avenue and Little Mountain Drive.
7 Massachusetts Avenue: between Base Line street and Highland

less one thousand five hundred seventy-five feet southwesterly of

21 Waterman Avenue: between two thousand one hundred feet north
22 of Mill Street and Fortieth Street1 between Rialto Avenue and a
23 point three hundred feet south of Central Avenue 1 between Rialto
24 Avenue and Highland Avenue 1 between Thirtieth Street and Fortieth
25 Street."
26 SECTION 2. Section 10.52.030 of the San Bernardino Municipal
27 Code is amended to read:
28 "10.52.030 Forty miles an hour.
29 In accordance with and pursuant to the authority of sections

11 Del Rosa Avenue: between Nineteenth Street and pumalo Street:
12 between two hundred feet south of Date Street and Citrus Street:
13 between Marshall Boulevard and Eureka Street: between Foothill
14 Boulevard and Bonita vista Drive.
15 'E' Street: between Century Avenue and Rialto Avenue.
16 Electric Avenue: between Fortieth Street and Northpark
17 Boulevard.
18 Fifth Street: between Waterman Avenue and Sierra Way.
19 Fortieth Street: between Waterman Avenue and Golden Avenue.
20 'G' Street: between Mill Street and Rialto Avenue.
21 Golden Avenue: between Highland Avenue and Lynwood Drive.
22 'H' Street: between Base Line Street and Marshall Boulevard.
23 Highland Avenue: between Valencia Avenue and Arden Avenue.
24 Lynwood Drive: between Del Rosa Avenue and Valencia Avenue.
25 Macy Street: between Highland Avenue and the north City
26 limit.
27 Meridian Avenue: between Foothill Boulevard and Rialto
