ORDINANCE NO. HC-51?
2 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION
15.16.212 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE TO CORRECTLY
3 INDICATE THE COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS REQUIRING AN AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER
SYSTEM.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO
5 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
6 SECTION 1. Section 15.16.212 of the San Bernardino Municipal
7 Code is amended by amending Section 10.308 Subsection (d) of the
8 Uniform Fire Code to read as follows:
9 "10.308.(d) Group B Occupancies. An automatic sprinkler
10 system shall be installed in all buildings or portions of
11 buildings classified by code as Group B, Division I, Division 2,
12 Division 3, or Division 4 that exceed five thousand square feet in
13 floor area.
14 Exceptions: All occupancies of Type I F.R. or Type II F.R.
15 construction of the square footage allowed by Uniform Building
16 Code Chapter 5, provided with an approved fire detection system
17 within all buildings or portions of buildings classified by code
18 as Group B, Division I, Division 2, Division 3, or Division 4."
