ORDINANCE NO. MC-603
2 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION
8.27.100 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO COSTS
3 INCURRED BY CITY FOR WEED/DEBRIS REMOVAL FROM PRIVATE PROPERTY,
AND REPEALING SECTIONS 8.27.110, 8.27.120 AND 8.27.130.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
5 DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 8.27.100 of the San Bernardino
7 Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:

"8.27.100 Assessment for abatement by City - Filing of
9 Objection.
10 The Director of Public Services shall, upon completion of
II the abatement, itemize the costs thereof including incidental
12 expenses which if unpaid shall be assessed against and become a
13 lien upon the property on which the nuisance was abated to be
14 collected at the time and in the manner of the real property
15 taxes by the Tax Collector, pursuant to the procedure set forth
16 in Chapter 3.68. The Director of Public Services shall forthwith
17 initiate proceedings before the Board of Building Commissioners
18 under Chapter 3.68 for determination and collection of the
19 assessment for costs of abatement."
20 SECTION 2. Sections 8.27.110, 8.27.120, and 8.27.130 of
21 the San Bernardino Municipal Code are repealed in their entirety.
22 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was duly
23 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
24 Bernardino at a regular
