8.05 TO THE SAN
COLLECTION OF RENT
OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ADDING CHAPTER
BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE
FOR BUILDINGS ORDERED VACATED.
4 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Chapter 8.05 is hereby added to the San
Bernardino Municipal Code to read as follows:
"8.05.010
It shall be unlawful for any property owner, landlord,
manager or agent to demand, accept, receive or retain
any payment of rent, security deposit, cleaning deposit
or any other money for any building, apartment, house
or other dwelling if the same or portion thereof for
which the rent or other money is paid has been ordered
vacated by the building official due to the existence
of unsafe or dangerous building conditions, unless a
lease or rental agreement executed before the effective
date of this Chapter expressly provides otherwise,
until a new Certificate of Occupancy is issued."
