ORDINANCE NO. MC-813
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. MC-791 RELATING TO EXTENDING THE TIME PERIOD FOR AN
INTERIM HOLD ON APPROVALS OF DEVELOPMENT PERMITS, CONDITIONAL USE
PERMITS AND OTHER ACTIONS IN CERTAIN AREAS SURROUNDING MT. VERNON
AVENUE AND DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF.
THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Findings.
A. Ordinance No. MC-787 was adopted by the Mayor and Common
Council on May 21, 1991, as an urgency ordinance to temporarily
restrict certain development approvals in a specified area
surrounding Mt. Vernon Avenue pending the completion of a specific
plan.
B. Ordinance No. MC-787 was amended and restated by
Ordinance No. MC-791 on June 3, 1991 to more accurately describe
the boundaries of the affected area.
C. The Specific Plan is nearly completed but it does not
appear that it will be completed prior to the expiration of
Ordinance No. MC-791.
SECTION 2. Section 1, paragraph 4 of Ordinance No. MC-791
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"4. Duration. This ordinance shall be of
no further force and effect twelve (12)
months from the date of adoption unless
extended by the Mayor and Common Council,
or upon the adoption and the effective date
of the resolution adopting the Mt. Vernon
Specific Plan, whichever date is earlier.
