ORDINANCE NO. MC-983
AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING
SECTION 3.04.0l0.B.l OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO

3 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO
4 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS.
5 SECTION 1. Subsection B 1 of g3 04 010 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code is
6 hereby amended to read as follows.

"Purchases from, or sales to a government or governmental agency, or
through any advantageous governmental contract approved by the Council,
or to the purchase of election supplies, or to purchases andlor services or
service contracts relating to litigation or prosecution or investigations
thereof, or to purchases andlor services or service contracts relating to fire
and police investigations, or to the purchases andlor services or service
contracts relating to board up or demolition of buildings or structures. "
11 SECTION 2. Urgency The facts establishing the urgency for the adoption of this
12 ordinance are that serious conditions exist in several areas of the City threatening the public peace,
13 health and safety of the neighbors and residents, consisting of dangerous buildings and structures.
14 In order to alleviate such conditions it is important that no unnecessary delay be imposed. To
15 fulfill its obligations to its citizens, the City must be able to expeditiously proceed to demolish
16 such buildings, structures and conditions as long as, and as soon as the legal requirements are
17 met, without undue delay
