MC-I091 WHICH ATTEMPTED TO PREVENT THE NEED TO 3 OBTAIN CITY ATTORNEY APPROVAL PRIOR TO THE RETENTION OF OUTSIDE SPECIAL COUNSEL SERVICES. 4 5 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 6 7 8 9 SECTION 1. Upon the filing with the City Clerk's office of a referendum petition protesting the adoption of Ordinance No. MC-l09l, said petition containing electors' signatures totaling more than thirty percent (30%) of the entire vote cast for all candidates for Mayor at the last 10 preceding City election at which time a Mayor was elected, Ordinance No. MC-l091 had its 11 12 13 effective date suspended in accordance with Charter Section 121 and California Elections Code Section 9237 and, as such, has therefore never taken effect.
