ORDINANCE NO, MC-l081
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION
8.30.130 OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE
ASSESSMENT OF COSTS AGAINST PROPERTY,
THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 8.30.130 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Section 8.30.130 Assessment of Costs Against Property.
The confirmed cost of abatement of a nuisance upon any lot or parcel of land shall
constitute a special assessment against the respective lot or parcel of land to which it relates; and,
after its recording, as thus made and confirmed, the same shall constitute a lien on the property in
the amount of the assessment. After the confirmation of the Report, a copy thereof shall be
transmitted to the Code Compliance Division, whereupon it shall be the duty of the Lien
Coordinator to total the amounts of the assessment, or assessments, and cause them to be added to
the next regular bills of taxes levied against the respective lots and parcels of land for municipal
purposes; and thereafter the amounts shall be collected at the same time and in the same manner
as ordinary property taxes are collected, and shall be subject to the same penalties and the same
procedure for foreclosure and sale in case of delinquency as provided for ordinary property taxes.
