NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mayor of the City of San
Bernardino has called an emergency meeting of the Mayor and Common
Council/Community Development Commission to be held at 2:00 p.m.,
Monday, October 27, 2003, in the San Bernardino Police Department
Personnel Conference/Training Room, 710 North "D" Street, San
Bernardino, California.
Said meeting shall be for the purpose of discussing the following:
1. Ratification of Mayor's issuance of Resolution (Proclamation) of the
City of San Bernardino confirming existence of a local emergency.
MOTION: That the Common Council ratify the Mayor's issuance
on October 25, 2003, of Resolution (Proclamation) of
the City of San Bernardino confirming existence of a
local emergency.
2. Ratification of Mayor's issuance of Resolution (Proclamation) of the
City of San Bernardino proclaiming existence of a local emergency
and requesting Governor to (1) proclaim a State of Emergency; and
(2) request a Presidential Declaration.
MOTION: That the Common Council ratify the Mayor's issuance
on October 25, 2003, of Resolution (Proclamation) of
the City of San Bernardino proclaiming existence of a
local emergency and requesting Governor to (1)
proclaim a State of Emergency; and (2) request a
Presiden tial Declaration.
3. Pursuant to Government Code Section:
MOTION: That the Mayor and Common Council and the
Community Development Commission recess to closed
session for the following:

Conference with legal counsel on matters posing a
threat to the security of essential public services,
pursuant to Government Code Sections 54956.5(c) and
54957(a).
