JOINT SPECIAL MEETING
DECEMBER 20, 2001
COUNCIL CHAMBERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mayor and Common Council and Community
Development Commission of the City of San Bernardino have called a joint special
meeting of the Mayor and Common Council and Community Development Commission
for 9 a.m., Thursday, December 20,2001, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 300
North "D" Street, San Bernardino, California.
The purpose for which this meeting was called was to rescind authorization to execute a
contract in the amount of $391 ,207 with ICI Solutions of Chandler, Arizona.
The joint special meeting of the Mayor and Common Council and Community
Development Commission of the City of San Bernardino was called to order by
Mayor/Chairman Valles at 9:20 a.m., Thursday, December 20, 2001, in the Council
Chambers of City Hall, 300 North "D" Street, San Bernardino, California.
Roll Can
Roll call was taken by City Clerk Clark with the following being present:
Mayor/Chairman Valles; Council Members/Commissioners Estrada, McGinnis,
Schnetz, Suarez, Anderson, McCammack; City Attorney Penman, City Clerk Clark,
Assistant to the City Administrator Sassoon. Abselll: Council Member/Commissioner
Lien.
I. RES. 2001-381 - Resolution of the Cit), of San Bernardino rescinding
authorization to execute a contract in the amount of $391,207 with ICI
Solutions of Chandler, Arizona to provide upgraded hardware and
replacement software for the Police Department's document imaging
system.
Captain Curtis stated that after the previous resolution was approved, they were
notified that the parent company filed for bankruptcy. He stated that he felt it
was in the City's best interest to rescind authorization to execute the contract
and seek an alternative vendor. Captain Curtis stated that he planned on
returning to the second Council/CommiSSIon meeting in January with an
alternative resolution.

Council Member/Commissioner McGinnis made a motion, seconded by Council
Member/Commissioner Suarez, that full reading of the resolution be waived and
that said resolution be adopted.
The motion carried and Resolution No. 3001-381 was adopted by the following
votes: Ayes: Council Members/Commissioners Estrada, McGinnis, Schnetz,
Suarez, Anderson, McCammack. Nays: None. Absent: Council
Member/Commissioner Lien.
2. Adjournment
At 9:23 a.m., the meeting adjourned. The next joint regular meeting of the
Mayor and Common Council/Community Development Commission is
scheduled for 8 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2002, in the Council Chambers of
City Hall, 300 North "D" Street, San Bernardino, California.

This is the time and place set for a joint adjourned regular meeting of the Mayor and
Common Council and Community Development Commission of the City of San
Bernardino from the joint regular meeting held at 8 a.m., Monday, December 17,
2001, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 300 North "D" Street, San Bernardino,
California.
The joint adjourned regular meeting of the Mayor and Common Council and

order by Mayor/Chairman Valles at 9:23 a.m., Thursday, December 20,2001, in the
