RESOLUTION NO. 84-432
RESOLUTIONOF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF TRAINING AGREEMENTS WITH INLAND EMPIRIE JOB CORPS
CENTER AND CORPS MEMBERS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAID BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Director of Parks, Recreation and Community
Services is hereby authorized and directed to execute on 'behalf
of said City training agreements with Inland Empire Job Corps
C-� I
Center and Corps members to take effect forthwith. A sample copy
of such training agreement is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A"
and incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set forth
at length.
SECTION 2. The Director of Parks, Recreation and Community
Services is hereby also authorized to execute on behalf of said
City other training agreements with Inland Empire Job Corps
Cen
ter and Corps members, which are intended to take effect at
future dates, and which shall be substantively similar to Exhibit
"A" but which shall differ in the name of the Corps member, the
specific type of training experience, the evaluator's name,
training hours, and dates of training experience.
SECTION 3. Any training agreements authorized by this
resolution shall not take effect until fully signed and executed
by all parties. No party shall be obligated hereunder unless and
until any training agreement. is fully executed and no oral
agreement related thereto shall be implied or authorized.

sponsor understands and agrees that the Corpsmember will be
trained twenty-five hours per week for six weeks from

the hands-on work experience for the Corpsmember is to provide
the final phase of training for the Corpsmember and will work
cooperatively with the IEJCC Employability to make this a
rewarding experience for the Corpsmember as well as the sponsor.
The trainer agrees to perform a written evaluation of the
Corpsmember, a maximum of three times during the six weeks: at
the end of the second week, the end of the fourth week and at the
completion of the training experience.

The Inland Empire Job Corps Center agrees to provide
transportation, meals and any necessary clothing required by the
Corpsmember for the full participation in the training
environment. The Job Corps is solely responsible for any
applicable workers' compensation coverage.
IEJCC Employability agrees to be available whenever a
situation may arise at the training site and, at the sponsor's
convenience, will attempt to work out a solution which will be
mutually satisfactory. The training site sponsor retains the
right to terminate participant if his or her performance is
unsatisfactory and shall document reasons for such termination
and refer participant back to the contractor.
IEJCC agrees to indemnify the sponsor for liability claims
made by or about the training experience participant.
