HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-4311 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 84-431 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ASSURING RESIDENTS OF AREAS PROPOSED FOR ANNEXATION THAT IMPROVED CURBS, GUTTERS AND SIDEWALKS WILL NOT BE REQUIRED IN AREAS TO BE ANNEXED UNLESS MAJORITY OF CITIZENS AFFECTED PETITION FOR SUCH IMPROVEMENTS. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Mayor and Common Council hereby resolve and commit themselves to the residents of the areas proposed to be annexed to the City of San Bernardino effective as of January 1, 1985, that, in the event such annexation is approved, residents of the areas to be so annexed will not be required to provide or pay for curbs, gutters and sidewalks adjacent to their property, as to any existing developed property, unless a majority of persons in any particular area petitions for such improvements as an assessment district. Except in the event of a valid petition by a majority of persons affected requesting such improvements, the Mayor and Common Council will not require the residents of developed areas, if annexed to the City, to improve the areas around their homes at their own expense with curbs, gutters and sidewalks.
