A large crowd of veterans, community
members and civic leaders turned out in
front of City Hall to remember and salute
those that gave their lives in service of
our country at a Memorial Day ceremony
on Monday, May 29.
Keynote speeches were given by U.S. Air
Force Sergeant Corrina Ramos and San
Bernardino Police Captain Brian Harris
(USMC ret.) reflecting on the meaning of
service.

representatives, site selectors, and

Homeless Outreach Team Launches June 15
Beginning next week, the City, in partnership with Hope the Mission, will deploy a
homeless outreach team five days a week.
The team will fill a missing link between homeless individuals and vital services by
offering transportation services to individuals willing to seek shelter, access crisis
centers, undergo rehabilitation, or to
help reconnect with their families
through reunification programs.
Residents and businesses will be
able to report issues or request
assistance by calling (909) 936-3478
or by email at
homelesshelp@sbcity.org

•72 unique work maintenance tasks and repairs have been
addressed or are ongoing.
•14 dead/decaying tree removals, dead wood trimming from
trees, hazard removals,
•Chain link fence repairs, sanitizing of grounds (bio-hazards),
fixture/sink/toilet replacement at restrooms,
•Parking lot curb repainting, bench removals, playground
equipment repairs,
•Pressure washing, gazebo/shade structure maintenance,
weed abatement, broken
•Picnic table removal and replacement

Movies in the Park (and Pool) are Back!
San Bernardino Parks is bringing back its popular Starlight Cinema movies in the
park series. The free series will feature a different family movie that will be shown at
a community park or pool starting at dusk.
The first Starlight Cinema showing will be on June 9 at Hudson Park and will feature
Strange World.
