Breeze Airways launched its service to Las Vegas and Hartford, Connecticut
from San Bernardino International Airport on February 16. The Mayor and
Members of the Council joined other regional elected leaders, excited
passengers, and Elvis to celebrate the maiden flight.

Narcotics Unit Recovers 20,000 Rainbow Fentanyl Pills
There has been significant discussion in the media regarding “Rainbow
Fentanyl,” in American communities. On February 15, the Narcotics Unit
conducted a traffic stop and recovered 20,000 fentanyl pills, along with
2.2 pounds of black tar heroin. One subject was arrested for the drugs.

Illegal Cannabis Operations Shut Down
Southern District Resource officers, along with the Bureau of Cannabis
Control, conducted investigations into illegal marijuana dispensaries
and grows in the city.
A search warrant operation was conducted on February 15 at multiple
locations and 6,572 marijuana plants were seized, along with 812
pounds of marijuana.

Rolland Kornblau Receives State CIO Leadership Award
On February 16, City Information Technology Director Rolland Kornblau was
awarded the CIO Leadership Award for the public sector by the Chief
Information Academy of California at their annual industry gathering of
public- and private-sector technology stakeholders.

Margaret Hill Book Collection Donated to SBPL
Over a hundred books from the library of Dr. Margaret Hill were donated
on February 15 to the Dorothy Inghram Branch Library with the goal of
continuing her life-long legacy of supporting literacy.
Much of her collection of books are written by African American authors
on topics relevant to people of color.

2:00 pm at the Court Street Square, located on Court Street between D Street and E
Street. The event is free to attend.
ArtsFest will feature musical performances, dancers, theatrical performances, local
artists, and food vendors showcasing some of the best in performance, creative, and
culinary arts from San Bernardino.

include boxing/fitness, tutoring, mentoring,
the arts, chess, and free meals.
