Tesla Motors has announced that they will be building a new 30,000 square foot Collision Service Center for their vehicles in the City of San Bernardino. This marks the first Tesla Collision Service Center in the Inland Empire. The nearest Tesla facilities are currently in Aliso Viejo, San Juan Capistrano, and Santa Monica. When fully operational, the Center, which will be located on Orange Show Road near E Street is anticipated to employ up to 90 employees over two shifts. Tesla is Coming to San Bernardino! Grand Re-Opening of the Residence Inn Last Thursday, the Residence Inn, a Marriott Property located on Harriman Avenue, celebrated its Grand reopening. The 95-room hotel invested $3 million to renovate all of its rooms and add on-site amenities for its guests as part of their first major upgrade since 2012. DBH has a national presence in minor league baseball and plans to expand the number of non- baseball events held at San Manuel Stadium. A mural depicting native local plants and flowers along with vases and a San Bernardino themed watering can are being shipped to Goyang, South Korea in as a goodwill gesture celebrating the twenty-first anniversary of our Sister City relationship. The display, entitled Bloomed Pathways,” will be shown at the International Horticulture Goyang, considered to be South Korea’s premier international flower exhibition. The mural was created by local artist Christian Mariscal and the vases were created by Gonzalo De La Cruz. PD Dominates at Baker to Vegas Run The SBPD Baker to Vegas relay 20-person team competed in the 120-mile relay run last week Each leg of the run had its own set of difficulties, from a 30-mph crosswind, an entirely uphill route with nearly 1,000 feet of elevation gain, or running at night with temperatures near freezing. The team placed 1st in the 500 Invitational Division, beating second place Riverside PD by almost an hour! Overall, SBPD placed 12th overall out of 258 teams from across the country. This was their best finish ever, and the team members wanted to pass along special thanks to volunteers and support staff that helped make their win possible. The team finished the season an impressive 27-8, claimed their third consecutive CCAA Regular Season title, second straight NCAA West Region Championship, and second consecutive trip to the Final Four. Congratulations to the players and coaches, on an incredible season!
