Chubzies Grand Opening – March 7Chubzies Grand Opening – March 7 Everyone is invited to help celebrate Chubzies Smashburger grand opening at 3:00 pm on Thursday, March 7 at 2344 Sterling Avenue. This is a local success story. Owner Victor Velasquez started Chubzies as a pop-up stand here in San Bernardino. Their popularity has continued to grow and now they have their own restaurant! Stop by and see if these are the best burgers, fries and tots in town. The 4:30 pm ribbon cutting will take place at 837 North Brier Drive, near the intersection of Hospitality Lane and Tippecanoe Avenue. Work included trimming trees, new landscaping, new murals and art, and upgrades tot the restrooms, including plumbing repairs and interior/exterior paint. Time is running out to take the City’s broadband survey. The survey is the first step in the process to create San Bernardino’s first broadband master plan which will determine investments to ensure reliable, high-speed internet service to residents and businesses in the City. City NewsCity News Dramitinos Named Deputy Director of Economic Development Josh Dramitinos, who had been serving the City as Real Property Manager, has been named Deputy Director of Economic Development. Josh is a Real Estate professional with over 14 years of public and private sector experience. He has been with the City of San Bernardino for over two years. City a Big Winner at the CPRS Conference Last week at the California Parks & Recreation Society Conference, the City of San Bernardino won three awards. The Parks Department received the Excellence in Community Award for its Dia de los Muertos event, Project Fighting Chance’s Terry Boykins received the Community Champion Award, and Lydie Gutfeld won the CPRS State Board 100 award for bringing inclusive and accessible aquatic intensive training to professionals throughout the state.
