@lTY OF SAN BERttARDINO -- MEMORANDU~
To Planning Commission
From Planning Department
Subject
Proposed Amenmnent to San Bernardino
Municipal Code Sections 19.56.440 and
lQ 'ili 070
Approved Item Ho. 15, Ward City Wide
Date Hay 6, 1986
Date
This item was continued from the Planning Commission meeting of
April 22, 1986 in order to review the proposed ordinance to
exclude truck campers from the provisions of this code amend-
ment on the basis that said vehicles are often used for basic
transportation needs. Since most truck campers are placed on
3/4 ton trucks or less, it is recommended that only the larcer
trucks over 3/4 ton which are less likely to be used for basic
transportation be required to comply with the proposed provisions.
Based upon the above noted observation, it is recommended that
Section 19.56.440B be modified to read as follows:
"B. For the purpose of this section' recreational vehicle'
is a motor home, travel trailer, truck camper over 3/4 ton, or
caQping trailer, witn or without motive power, designed for
human habitation for recreational or emergency occupancy, which
meets all the following criteria:"
