STAFF REPORT
This Resolution confirms the Assessment Roll and approves the
Assessment Diagram Map No. 956 for the maintenance of landscaping in
the Carnegie Drive area (Tri-City).
On June 3, 1985, Resolution of Intention No. 85-198 was adopted which
instituted formal proceedings to form an assessment district in the
Carnegie Drive area for the maintenance of landscaping.
All the requirements of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code were
fulfilled and on July 22, 1985, the Resolution ordering work was
adopted. The charges for the establishment of the district,
$3,289.10, which will be assessed against the property on the 1986-87
tax roll.

3 N0. 956 FOR THE h1AINTENANCE OF LANDSCAPING IN PORTIONS OF CARNEGIE DRIVE,
VAN DERBILT 4lAY, HOSPITALITY LAME, BRIER DRIVE, WATERMAN AVENUE, TIP PE CANOE
4 AVENUE, HARRIh1AN PLACE, THE SOUTH BANK OF THE SANTA ANA RIVER, AREAS ADJACENT
TO THE GAGE CANAL, AREAS ADJACENT TO THE NORTH SIDE OF INTERSTATE 10 FREEWAY
' 5 AND AREAS ADJACENT TO THE SAN TIMOTEO CREEK CHANNEL, IN THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO, AND APPROVING ASSESSt•1ENT DIAGRAh1 h1AP N0. 956.
~ WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino
~ on June 3, 1985, adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 85-198, to order the
8 work described therein to be done under the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the
9 San Bernardino City Municipal Code; and
10 41HEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council on June 3, 1985, approved the
11 Engineer's Report on the proposed assessment district, which ,report includes a
12 proposed assessment roll and Assessment District t4ap relative to Assessment
13 District No. 956; and
14 WHEREAS, pursuant to said Resolution of Intention No. 85-198, a
1~' hearing was set for July 1, 1985, at which time the hearing was continued to
16 July 15, 1985, and continued again to July 22, 1985, at which time and place I'
17 written objections and protests to the proposed improvement, the extent of the
18 district, or to the assessment district itself were heard, considered and
10 overruled after modification of the boundaries to reduce the district in size;
20 and
2] WHEREAS, incidental expenses totalling $3,289.10 have been incurred
22 for the establishment of the district, which must be spread over the individual
23 parcels of said assessment district, the City has computed and set forth in
24 attached Exhibit "A" which is incorporated herein by reference the first year
2`' assessment for each individual parcel, all of which are as set forth on Exhibit
2G "A" attached hereto, is hereby declared to be the Assessment District No. 95G
27 Roll for 1986-87 for the Carnegie Drive Area Landscape Maintenance District.

NOW, THEREFORE,, THE MAYOR AND COh1h10N COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAhI

BERNARUINO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby find and

determine that the proportionate costs to be levied against the parcels of land
4
within Assessment District No. 956 are correctly set forth on Assessment Roll
5
No. 956 for the fiscal year 1986-87, Carnegie Drive Area Landscape P1aintenance

District, which Exhibit is attached hereto and is incorporated herein by
7 reference, and the Mayor and Common Council do hereby confirm said assessments.

SECTION 2. That said Assessment Diagram f4ap No. 956 is hereby
approved.
