Recommended motion:
That Change Order No. Three to the contract with Bonadiman-McCain, Inc.,
for the construction of a bridge on San Timoteo Creek, at Hospitality
Lane, in accordance with Plan No. 6653, be approved; to authorize the
Contractor to furnish and install chain link fences and gates on a time
and material basis and as directed by the Engineer at an estimated
increase in contract price of $ 2,250.00 from $535,679.29 to $537,929.29.

Resolution No. 85-492 adopted awarding a contract for the
low bid price of $490,777.60.
Change Order No. One approved to authori ze the Contractor
to furnish steel piling material and weld to each side of
steel pipe web, at an increase in the contract price of
$689.09, from $490,777.60 to $491,466.69.
Change Order No. Two approved to authori ze the Contractor
to perform all work necessary to construct grouted rip
rap protection at an estimated increase in the contract
price of $44,212.60, from $491,466.69 to $535,679.29.

STAFF REPORT
Approximately 110 L.F. of six-foot chain link fence and two
double drive chain link fence gates are indicated to be constructed on
the plans. but have no provision in the contract for payment. This
fencing is located at the east side of the new bridge where Hospitality
Lane extends through the east right-of-way chain link fence of the San
Bernardino County Flood Control Channel (San Timoteo Creek).
This change order will authorize payment to the Contractor to ac-
complish this work on a time and material basis at an estimated increase
in contract cost of S2.250.00.
The total estimated project cost included S81.822.40 for contin-
gencies. which can be used to finance the cost of the change order.
The fencing is a requirement of the Flood Control District. We.
therefore. recommend that Change Order No. Three be approved.

Gentlemen:
You are hereby authorized and directed to furnish and install approxi-
mately 110 L.F. of 6-foot chain link fencing and two double drive 16-foot
chain link gates as indicated on Plan No. 6653. All work is to be done
on a time and material basis per Section 9-1.03 of the Standard Specifi-
cations of California Transportation Department and as directed by the
Engineer.
