STAFF REPORT
The Central City Parking Place Conmission at their February 26,
1986, regular meeting. upon reviewing a report presented by Conmissioner
Ray Fox on the recent transit terminal tour to Riverside, Santa Ana and
Long Beach, unanimously approved the following motion:
"That the Parking Place Conmission recomrend that the M9.yor
and Council consider the developnent and construction of a
parking structure in the Downtown area, possibly in conjunction
with a bus terminal, to be financed by selling street frontage
area and air rights for cormercial developnent. The Parking
Place Conmision questions the advisability of a terminal;
however, should it be feasible, then it should be conditioned
upon the location, good design, security and adequate main-
tenance.
