Synopsis of Previous Commission/Council action:
In May, 1985, the Mayor and Common Council approved $25,000 for architectural
and engineering services for the Casa Ramona, Inc., Dental Center.

Adopt form motion:
THAT $1,400 OF THE $25,000 PREVIOUSLY APPROVED FOR ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING
SERVICES FOR THE CASA RAMONA, INC., DENTAL CLINIC BE RE-APPROPRIATED TO FINANCE
THE COST OF RENDERINGS FOR THE CASA RAMONA SENIOR CITIZENS HOUSING PROJECT. SAID
RENDERINGS TO BE DEVELOPED IN ORDER TO DETERMINE PHYSICAL COMPATIBILITY WITH
EXISTING AND PROPOSED CASA RAMONA PROJECTS.

STAFF REPORT
The Mayor and Common Council previously approved $25,000 in Community
Development Block Grant funding for the Casa Ramona, Inc., with respect to the
construction of a dental clinic. Since that time, Casa Ramona officials have
been exploring the possibility of developing a senior citizens project on
property owned by the corporation.
In order to determine whether the project would be physically compatible with
existing and proposed structures, the executive director of Casa Ramona, Inc.,
has requested that $1,400 of the $25,000 be re-appropriated to finance the
development of renderings of the proposed senior citizen housing project.
Staff recommends approval of the form motion.
