cIYY OF SAN BERNARDMO - REQUh"I' FOR COUNCIL ACTrdN
STAFF REPORT
A request was received to vacate a portion of Hospitality Lane,
West of earnegie Drive, from the owners who adjoin the portion
to be vacated relative to the extension of Hospitality Lane and
the lack of necessity for a cul-de-sac. This request
represents 100% of those owners who adjoin the street.
All of the interested eity Department Heads and the Utility
Companies were notified of the proposal on December 13, 1985,
with a reply due on January 17, 1986. The utility companies
have responded and a reservation for a pUblic utility easement
was requested.
The Planning Oepartment has responded and indicates that "...
the proposed vacation...was recommended for approval."
This cul-de-sac was provided in the original development of
Park eentre as a temporary turn around as the extension of
Hospi tal i ty Lane to Waterman Avenue was unscheduled and
necessitated eminent domain procedures. That extension is now
under construction, and there is no need for the cul-de-sac,
perse, and the "wings" are being requested to be vacated.
The proponents have been notified by letter on January 21,
1986, of the requested easement reservation and have responded
with notification for us to proceed. The required $400.00 fee
has been paid and it is, therefore, recommended that favorable
consideration be given to the requested vacation.
The Resolution of Intention, which sets a protest date of March
17, 1986, has been attached hereto for your action also.
