RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING THE NEGATIVE
DECLARATION AS TO ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT AND ADOPTING AMENDMENT ~O. 82-3 TO
THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO (GENERAL PLAN LAND USE
ELEMENT) .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTI ON 1.
Recita 1 s .
(a) The General Plan Land Use Element for the City of San Bernardino
was adopted by the Mayor and Common Council by Resolution No. 7336 on August
17, 1964.
(b) Amendment No. 82-3 to the General Plan of the City of San
Bernardino was approved by the Planning Commission of the City of San
Bernardino on January 4, 1983, after a legally advertised public hearing.
(c) A negative declaration issued by the Environmental Review
Committee of the City, complete ~thin an initial study relating to Amendment
No. 82-3 and all comments relative thereto have been reviewed and approved
by the Planning Commission and the Mayor and Common Council in compliance
with the California Environmental Quality Act and local regulations.
(d) The Mayor and Common Council reivewed and considered proposed
Amendment No. 82-3 on January 17, 1983.
(e) The adoption of Amendment No. 82-3 is deemed in the interest of
the orderly development of the City and is consistent ~th the goals and
objectives of the existing General Plan.
SECTI ON 2.
Neqative Declaration.
The Mayor and Common
Council hereby find and declare that the proposed amendment to the General
Plan of the Ci ty of San Bernardi no ~ 11 have no si gnifi cant effect on the
environment, and the negative declaration heretofore adopted by the
Envi ronmenta 1 Revi ew Commi ttee as to the effect of thi s proposed amendment
i s hereby rati fi ed. affi rmed and adopted.

SECTION 3.
Amendment.
The Land Use Element of the General Plan
of the City of San Bernardino is amended by changing the area bounded by
Marshall Boulevard on the south, Eureka Street on the north, Mountain Avenue
on the west and Del Rosa Avenue on the east and including an additional area
located within approximately 400 feet on the east side of Del Rosa Avenue
between Eureka Street and Marshall Boulevard, as outlined on the map
entitled Exhibit "A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference, from Low-Medium Density Residential (4-7 units per net
acre) and Medium Density Residential (8-14 units per net acre) to Medium
Density Residential (8-14 units per net acre) and General Commercial. This
amendment is designated as General Plan Amendment No. 82-3.
SECTION 4.
Map Notation. This resolution and the amendment
effected by it shall be noted on such appropriate maps as have been adopted
and approved by the Mayor and Common Council.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the
Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
meeting thereof, held on the
