Synopsis of Previous Council action:
Recommended motion:
That Christian and Missionary Alliance Church be granted permission to park recreational
vehicles for a 21 day period during January and February, 1986, provided:
1. Recreational vehicles use approved water, electrical and sanitary systems.
2. That vehicles are maintained in a clean and attractive condition.
3. The use of recreational vehicles will be for the stated purpose, as being temporary
in nature, and will be removed from the property within the stated time.
4. All zoning and Planning Department regulations to be adhered to.

Thp Christian and Mi~sionary Alliancp church respectfully ~
requpsts approval for a temporary variance. We wish to host 5
no morp than six members of thp Mobi' e Missionary Assistance 6 1
Program (rm~AP) on the church's propprty for a 2l-day period Ch
in January and/or February, '986. The members of MMAP wi 11
live in their own RVs and park on a section of land not used
for any othor purpose.
The Mobi'p Missionary Assistance Program is an inter-denominat-
ional organization of retired men and women who donate their
, abor and ski " to small churche s having repair and remode '.ing
needs. Tho churches they assist lack man power and money to
maintain thoir faci'ities or mako neoded repairs.
THE ~ll~AP peop'o trave' to the host church at their own exponse
and roceive abso'utely no payment for their service. Thp ~~AP
members work four days a wepk for three weoks and then drive
to another project or return homp. MMAP headquarters consid'lrs
the C. & M. A. church eligible for assistance,
We have discusspd this situation with Supprintendent Jack
Rospbraugh. He requested an explanation of how electricity,
water and sanitation will be providpd.
Electricity: Th" church has hook ups from the fe'lowship hall
with heavy duty extension cords which provide 115 amps for each
vehicl.E' .
Water: The church has six out door faucets for water.
Sanitation: The I'IIT.1APers will uti'ize the church men's and wompn's
restrooms which wi'l be op,''m to them day and night. The rest
rooms have hot and cold water at aI' times, sinks, toilets and
mirrors.
Additional'v thp MMAPers can uti'ize 'ocal authorized tank
dumping sites to "mpty their 15 gal'on holding tanks. One such
faci'ity is the Hi'ton Union Service at "l950 S. Waterman Avenu?,
approximate'y ton minutps from the church. The cost for the
drivo in - drive out faci'ity is $2.50.
