On November I, 1985, the Council held its second reading of Ordinance MC-480
establishing incentives for the Enterprise Zone. As you will recall, a second
ordinance was adopted immediately thereafter as an Urgency (MC-48l), adopting the
incentives in MC-480. Section 3.18.050 of this Urgency ordinance was amended by
interdelineation to provide for certain exemptions to qualified businesses in the
commercial area who locate in the Zone the first four years of the life of the Zone
instead of first three years of the Zone. ----
The ordinance before you today amends Ordinance MC-480 to provide consistence between
the two ordinances (MC-480 and MC-48l).
Staff recommends approval.
