Synopsis of Previous Council action:
Council has previously taken action to approve each of the attached General
Plan Amendments. The attached resolutions would formalize those approvals.
Recommended motion:
That the Mayor and Council approve the attached resolutions requested by
the City Attorney's Office in order to formally adopt the eleven respective
General Plan Amendments.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING THE NEGATIVE
DECLARATION AS TO ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT AND ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 82-1 TO
THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO (GENERAL PLAN LAND USE
ELEMENT).
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.
Recitals.
(a) The General Plan Land Use Element for the City of San Bernardino
was adopted by the Mayor and Common Council by Resolution No. 7336 on August
17, 1964.
(b) Amendment No. 82-1 to the General Plan of the City of San
Bernardino was approved by the Planning Commission of the City of,San
Bernardino on June 8, 1982, after a legally advertised public hearing.
(c) A negat~ve"declaration issued by the Environmental Review
Committee of the City, complete within an initial study relating to Amendment
No. 82-1 and all comments relative_t~ereto have been reviewed and approved
by the Planning Commission and the Mayor and Conmon Council in compliance
with the California Environlnental Quality Act and local regulations.
(d) The Mayor and Common Council reivewed and considered proposed
Amendment No. 82-1 on June 21, 1982.
(e) The adoption of Amendment No. 82-1 is deemed in the interest of
the orderly development of the City and is consistent with the goals and
objectives of the existing General Plan.
SECTION 2.
Neqative Declaration.
The Mayor and Common
Council hereby find and declare that the proposed amendment to the General
Plan of the City of San Bernardino will have no significant effect on the
environment, and the negative declaration heretofore adopted by the
Environmental Review Committee as to the effect of this proposed amendment
is hereby ratified, affirmed and adopted.

The Land Use Element of the General Plan
2 of the City of San Bernardino is amended by changing the irregularly-shaped
3 parcel of land consisting of approximately 65 acres located between Seventh
4 Street and Baseline Street and west of Pennsylvania Avenue between the 60
5 foot Southern Sierra Power Company easement and the Muscoy levee, as out-
6 lined on the map entitled Exhibit "A", a copy of which is attached hereto
7 and incorporated herein by reference, from Residential (4-7 units per net
8 acre) to Open Space/Flood Control. This amendment is designated as General
9 Plan Amendment No. 82-1.

SECTION 4.
Map Notation.
This resolution and the amendment
11 effected by it shall be noted on such appropriate maps as have been adopted
12 and approved by the Mayor and Common Council.
