My reason for this request is to protect this Community from an influx of high density apartments which would be possible under the current General Plan. General Plan Amendment 85-2, Exhibit VII, (Alternative No.' 4) has the unanimous support of this Community and was documented by attendance at all the Public Hearings and petitions bearing signatures of 615 residents. ,There are three areas of compromise. the commercial property at Rialto Ave and Rancho Ave. commercial property at Rialto Ave and Pepper Ave should remain commercial. Mobile home units be allowed to increase to 8 units per acre. These changes could be incorporated into the General Plan and still allow for orderly development for this Community. This Community strongly opposes any plan or condition to allow for additional apartment development. They would adversely impact the schools which are currently over crowded, the Pol ice department is stretched to capacity with the frequency of emergency calls from existing apartments and other city services. -' ? . . <.. 01 November 1985 General Plan '-' '.-,.;' Page 2 of 2 If Government is of the people, by the people, for the people; it seems reasonable to conclude, it should represent the wi 11 of the people.
