After many months of analysis and discussion, Mike Baker of the Wyatt Co., the City's Consultant, designed a plan acceptable to both our office and the employees. The plan was put out to bid, bids were reviewed, presentations by the competitive companies made, and a decision made to recommend that The John Hancock Company replace Blue Cross as the provider of Insurance and Administrative Services for our self-insured Health. The Personnel Department concurs with this recommendation, as we estimate savings to the City at over $40,000. Details of the plan design and bid analysis are attached in the Wyatt Co. Report. 75.0264 .
