Council Notes: 9.r-~ rel.",..1 F....JJ' 75-0262 Agenda Item NO--- Z .7 6fv OF SAN BBRNARrh;tO - RBQU~T FOR COUNCIL AC~N STAFF REPORT The Resident Engineer has recommended a change of material for the apron, at the end of a storm drain, from asphalt concrete (A.C.) to Portland Cement Concrete (P..C.C.). P..C.C.'s durability under a constant flow of water is much longer than that of A.C. This change will extend the life of the apron and decrease maintenance costs to the City, We have reviewed the prices quoted by the Contractor and feel that they are fair and reasonable for the extra work involved. Therefore, we recommend that Change Order No, 7 be approved. Contract Change Orders No.3, 4, 5 and 6 are at no cost and do not adjust the contract price. The total estimated project cost, based upon the actual low bid price, included an amount of $713,215 for contingencies. which can be used to finance the cost of this change order. 75-0264 - lOAD CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER NO, 08-SBdo-0-SDd "",", CITY '-' SAN BERN/oRDI"- 7 SUPPL.
