ATTENDEES:
Councilman Steve Marks - Chairman, Councilwoman Esther
Estrada, Councilman Ralph Hernandez, Deputy City Admini-
strator - Ray Schweitzer, Council Executive Assistant - Phil
Arvizo, Mayor's Administrative Assistant - Richard Bennecke,
Mr. Art Parlas.
1. NEW DIAL-A-RIDE/DIAL-A-LIFT VEHICLE PROBLEMS - Mr.
Art parlas reported vehicles are too large, use too much
fuel, and are not well made. He was under the impression he
would have a mixed fleet with some smaller cars (station
wagons). Vehicles he has received cannot turn around or gain
access to customer areas. The Committee tasked Mr.
Schweitzer to contact OMNITRANS for some answers and bring
them back to the Committee.
2. TRANSPORTATION STUDY - The Committee requested that
OMNITRANS provide a study for enhancements in the system.
The report should include a plan to reduce costs after peak
hours so that money can be applied to other enhancements
presently being explored.
Meeting adjourned.
