TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST
An application has been submitted to EDA by RDA for a grant to help
finance the cost of these improvements. EDA has reduced the application to
$843,000, of which the maximum grant is $550,000. This leaves $293,000 which
wi 11 ,have to be fi nanced from Local agency funds.
Notification of the grant from EDA is expected by 9-30-85. This
means that bids can tentatively be opened on 11-12-85. The contract docu-
ments allow 150 calendar days for the contractor to complete the work, which
will be about the end of April, 1986. The TGIF Restaurant is striving to be
opened in March, 1986, and will require the extension of Hospitality Lane
in order to have adequate access.
We recommend the plans be approved and authorization granted to
advertise for bids.
URGENCY CLAUSE
Notification of the grant award is expected from EDA by 9-30-85. It is
imperative that advertising be started as soon as possible in order to
approximate the schedule for Park Centre development.
