04-09-84 Plans approved and authorization granted to advertise for
bi ds.
10-01-84 -- Resolution No. 84-401 awarding a contract to L. E. Meyers
Company. Grissom and Johnson Division. for the Modernization
of Traffic Signals in the Central Business District. for the
low bid price of $132.960.00.
Recommended motion:
That the work performed by the Contractor. in accordance with
Specification No. 6403. be approved; and that final payment be
authorized at the expiration of the lien period.

STAFF REPORT
These improvements were satisfactorily completed as of August 21, 1985.
In accordance with the Specifications, the Contractor is entiled to extensions of
time due to delays in testing and inspection by Caltrans. If all extensions of
time are allowed, there will be no liquidated damages assessed to this project.
The contract price for this project is $132,960.00. No change orders were required.
We recommend that the work be approved and accepted, and final payment be authorized
at the expiration of the lien period.
URGENCY CLAUSE
Final payment cannot be made until 35 days after approved for acceptance.
Work has been completed and is acceptable.
