Synopsis of Previous Council action:
At the August 22, 1985 Legislative Review Committee meeting, the
increased rates for deposits on new commercial refuse accounts,
as submitted by the Director of Public Services, were approved.
(Public hearing is not required for increase in refuse rates.)

2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 83-245 ENTITLED IN PART -RESOLUTION . . . FIXING AND
3 DETERMINING THE FEES AND CHARGES TO BE CHARGED FOR THE COLLECTION
AND DISPOSAL OF GARBAGE AND RUBBISH. . .-, AND AMENDING SECTION 2
4 TO PROVIDE FOR AN INCREASE IN DEPOSIT RATES FOR NEW COMMERCIAL
REFUSE ACCOUNTS.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
6 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
7 SECTION 1. Resolution No. 83-245 Section 2 is amended to
8 read as follows:
9 -2. The following fees shall be required as a deposit for
10 each new commercial refuse account. Said deposit shall be paid
11 prior to the City commencing refuse collection service. Interest
12 shall not accrue on the deposit. This deposit shall be retained
13 by City and, after two years of faithful performance, credited to
14 the refuse account. The deposit retained by City shall be applied
15 to any closing bill upon termination of service if not previously
16 credited to the account. Any excess amount above the closing bill
17 shall be refunded:
