All owners of the properties listed on Exhibit "A" were sent notices and the City did the cleaning. Bills were sent for abatement and property owners advised that bills not paid by July 31, 1985, would have the charges assessed against the property and a lien placed on such property until paid. These costs are added to the property tax bill and collected by the County Tax Collector's office. 75-0264 c o o o 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING COSTS OF ABATEMENT OF PUBLIC NUISANCES AND IMPOSING LIENS ON CERTAIN REAL 3 PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE COSTS OF THE ABATEMENT. 4 5 WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino, pursuant to its 6 authority under Chapter 8.27 of the San Bernardino Municipal 7 Code, did lawfully cause public nuisances to be abated on the 8 properties described in Exhibit "A" attached to and incorporated 9 in this resolution; and 10 WHEREAS, notice was given to the owners of record of said 11 properties, and a hearing has heretofore been held to hear 12 protests and assess the costs of said abatements before the Board 13 of Building Commissioners. 14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE NAYOR AND COMMON 15 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 16 SECTION 1. Said costs are found to have been incurred by 17 the City pursuant to proceedings under the San Bernardino 18 Municipal Code, and the final statement of costs on file with the 19 City Clerk is hereby confirmed and adopted as special assessments 20 against the properties listed in Exhibit "A" hereto. 21 SECTION 2. If any of the sums due are not fully paid to the 22 City Clerk, City Hall, San Bernardir:o, before July 31, 1985, then 23 each of these ~r:paid sums shall be and become a lien on the 24 subject property pursuant to the Municipal Code and applicable 25 laws and shal1 be col1ected as a special assessment thereon. 26 SECTION 3. In the event any sum is not paid as heIeinabove 27 provided, the City Clerk is hereby directed to file a certified 28 copy of this resolution, including Exhibit "A" showing such sums c o o o 1 as remain unpaid, with the Recorder and the Auditor of the County 2 of San Bernardino, State of California, directing th~t each such 3 sum be entered as a lien charged against the property as it 4 appears on the current assessment roIls, to be collected at the 5 same time and in the same manner, subject to the same penalties 6 and irrterest upon delinquencies, as the general taxes for the 7 City of San Bernardino are collected. 8 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly 9 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San 10 Bernardino at a meeting thereof, 11 he Id on the day of , 1985, by the 12 following vote, to wit: AYES: Council Members 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 day of 21 NAYS: ABSENT: City Clerk The foregoing resolution is hereby approved this , 1985. 22 Mayor of the City of San Bernardino 23 Approved as to form: 24 ~/h?~L- 25 C ty torney 26 27 28 2
