The EDC serves as the City's OEDP Committee. Staff was instructed to study the functions and responsibilities of the OEDP Commi ttee reI at i ve to the Mayor and Common Counei 1, modify ;Ippropr iate agreements and report back to Council. On July 1, 1985, the Mayor and Common Council set July 24, 1985 as the date to discuss the OEDP Committee role and function and the EDA regulations governing same. Rd:)VELOPMENT AGENCY-OuEST FOR O_ISSION/COUNCIL AcOoN o o o STAFF REPORT Dlring the April 15, 1985 special Ilgency meeting, staff was asked to research the role, functioo and responsibilities of the OVerall Eoc:n:mic Developnent Planning CamIlittee (OEIP) and prior Council actioos,' if any, relating to the discharge of these functioos. '!he Eoc:n:mic Developnent Council (EDC) serves as the City's CDEP CamIlittee. In researching this issue and in discussioos with the City's Eoc:n:mic Developnent Representative, Ms. Marilyn Williams of the Eoc:n:mic Developnent J\dministratioo (~), staff feels the Mayor and Chrnmr'w} Council might be best served by participating in a workshop involving all of the responsibilities of the OEIP OCIIIIlIi.ttee. Ms. Williams has iDiicated she oould attend such a workshop to resp::nd directly to any irxprlries the Mayor and Chrnmr'w} Council may have. O:lnducting a workshop today will allow for a full and caoplete discourse on these and related issues by the MaYM and Chrnmr'w} Council. 7/85 2341.
