C,PY OF SAN BERNAR&O - REQ~T FOR COUNCIL A810N STAFF REPORT Our Storm Drain Master Plan indicates a lateral to be installed from the Town Creek Storm Drain in Sierra Way, at Fourth Street, to the intersection of Fifth Street and Sepulveda Avenue. This lateral is re- ferred to as the "Seccombe Lake Storm Drain Lateral." Two 42-inch storm drains have been installed to convey water from the Seccombe Lake Recreation Area. These drains now discharge into Sepulveda Avenue, south of Fifth Street. The Seccombe Lake Storm Drain Lateral will receive the storm waters from these two existing storm drains, and convey them underground to the Town Creek Storm Drain in Sierra Way. Since the Seccombe Lake Storm Drain Lateral will receive storm waters from the two existing 42-inch pipes, it is not predicated upon the completion of the Seccombe Lake Recreation Area Project. We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization granted to advertise for bids, An amount of $278,075 was included in the recommended 1985-86 Storm Drain Construction Fund Budget to provide the necessary supple- mental funding for this project. 75-0264
