The original agreement was authorized by Resolution #83-36 on February 7, 1983 and
the first amendment was authorized by Resolution #84-263, on July 9, 1984.

STAFF REPORT
The City has had a contractual agreement with the Rangemaster for several years.
The Rangemaster provides expert instruction and training in the use of firearms
to City Police' Officers and also maintains the Range for use by gun clubs and
other law enforcement agencies.
Last year he was given a raise in his retainer fee and also began to repair all
police department issued handguns. The present Rangemaster is a retired police
officer and has trained himself through attendance at schools to improve his
expertise in instruction and repair of handguns.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH EUGENE R.
HENRIKSEN PROVIDING FOR A ONE YEAR EXTENSION OF THE CONTRACT
RELATING TO POLICE FIREARMS TRAINING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby
authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said City a
Second Amendment to Agreement with Eugene R, Henriksen providing
for a one year extension of the contract relating to police
firearms training, a copy of which is attached hereto, marked
Exhibit -A- and incorporated herein by reference as fully as
though set forth at length.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly

THIS SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is made and entered into

6 "Cityn, and EUGENE R. HENRIKSEN, an individual, hereinafter called
7 "Consultant",
8 City and Consultant agree as follows:

1. Recitals.

A. City and Consultant entered into an Agreement on
II February 21, 1983, and a First Amendment to Agreement on July 20,
12 1984 (hereinafter collectively called "the Agreement-), relating
13 to consulting activities for police firearms training.

B. The parties now desire to amend the Agreement to
15 provide for a one year extension of its term.

2. Term. The term of the agreement is extended for an
17 additional period of one year commencing July 1, 1985, and
18 terminating June 30, 1986.

3. Other Provisions, All other terms, conditions and
20 covenants of the Agreement, as amended, shall remain the same and
21 be in full force and effect.
22 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Second
23 Amendment to Agreement on the day and year first above written.
