FOR COUNCIL ACtil>>N STAFF REPORT Charter Section 36 provides that the Common Council shall appoint one of their own number Mayor pro-tempore in case of vacancy, or if by reason of absence from the City, or sickness, or from any other cause, the Mayor is unable to perform the duties of his or her office. During June, 1985, the Council Member from the Third Ward is performing the duties of Mayor pro-tempore. The attached resolution, therefore, establishes that the Council Member from the Fourth Ward shall be Mayor pro-tempore for the month of July, 1985, and continues with each Council Member in succession. Adoption of the attached resolution will provide the manner in which the appointment of a Mayor pro-tempore shall take place. 75-0264 . o o o o RESOLUTION NO. 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 11831 ENTITLED IN PART "A RESOLUTION... PROVIDING FOR THE 3 APPOINTNENTS OF A MAYOR PRO TEMPORE..."; AND ESTABLISHING SUCH APPOINTMENTS FOR THE 1985-1986 FISCAL YEAR. 4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY 5 OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 6 7 to read as follows: SECTION 1. Resolution No. 11831 Section 1 is hereby amended 8 "SECTION 1.
