STAFF REPORT
In April of 1973, a grant of a 30-foot easement for ingress and
egress was granted to the Ci ty of San Bernardi no for the purpose
of locating a "Welcome to San Bernardino" sign.
Subsequently, by Parcel Map No. 5318, a portion of this easement
was relocated. There is a portion of the "old" easement now
encumbing a parcel which the owner has requested to be quitclaimed
to him. Because there has been a relocation of a portion of this
easement by Parcel Map, the City of San Bernardino will continue
to have an easement for this purpose.
We recommend that the Quitclaim Deed be executed.
It is the opinion of the Engineering Department that the value of
the easement received in exchange for the easement granted by
quitclaim deed herein was less thatn $2,000.00 and may under the
authority of Charter Section 40(a) be conveyed.

RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO GRANTING A
QUITCLAIM DEED TO COLLEGE PARKWAY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATES, A
CALIFORNIA LIMITED PARTNERSHIP FOR PROPERTY LOCATED
SOUTHEASTERLY OF UNIVERSITY PARKWAY AT THE BARSTOW
FREEWAY (ROUTE 215).
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: That the Mayor and Common Council find
that the easement granted by the City to the College Parkway
Development Associates, a California limited partnership, by
quitclaim deed, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated
herein by reference, is in exchange for an easement obtained
from said partnership and that the value of the easement
r~ceived from said partnership was less than $2,000.00.
S~CTrON TWO: That the City of San Bernardino execute a
quitclaim deed to College Parkway Development Associates, a
California Limited Partnership for property located
Southeasterly of University Parkway at the Barstow
Freeway (Route 215).
SECTION THREE: That the said Quitclaim of Easement
referred to herein, a copy of which is attached hereto, marked
Exhibi t "A", and is hereby referred to and made a part hereof
as fully as though set out at length herein, is hereby
approved.
SECTION FOUR:
That the Mayor of the Ci ty of San
8ernardino is hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Quitclaim of Easement on behalf of the City of San Bernardino.
