Ladies and. Gentlemen:
Recently we unveiled plans to develop a Commercial Shopping
Center and 128 unit Apartment Complex at Baseline and Muscott
Ayenues in the City's Northwest Redevelopment Area. 'We
discovered that present General and Redevelopment Plans designate
the 18 acre site suitable for commercial development. However,
iri order for us to successfully complete financing arrangements
we must have 7.25 acres of the site redesignated and rezoned
tq accommodate the Apartment Complex.
, Submitted separately is a letter delineating our lenders
requirements, We have fulfilled all requirements with the
exception of the zone change. We trust the information found in
the separate letter will remain strictly confidential.
With the okay and completion of the amendment to the General
and Redevelopment Plans and theneccessary zone changes we will
be able to bring to the Northwest Redevelopment area of San
Bernardino a much, needed commercial center. Swift dealing with
this matter will result in jobs for the community, tax revenues
for the city and a new image and attitude for the Westside.
