CI'O OF SAN BERNARDOO - REQUI!OT FOR COUNCIL AcQON
STAFF REPORT
At the regular meeting of the Mayor and Common Council of
April 1, 1985, the repeated exemptions, granted to Section
l8.40.l60(A) of the San Bernardino Municipal Code was
discussed. Said section prohibits the grant of an exemption
fr~m the requirement for two separate means of ingress and
egress to properties located in the high fire hazard zone.
During said discussion the Planning Director commented that
since exemptions are being repeatedly granted from the
section, that the Mayor and Common Council should repeal the
section. Whereupon, the Council adopted a motion that
subsection (A) of San Bernardino Municipal Code Section
18.40.160 be repealed.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
.DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 18.40.160 of the San Bernardino
Municipal Code is amended to read:
"18.40.160 Provision for ingress and egress.

that particular application, the Commission or the Mayor and
Common Council may approve any such map with only one route when
an existing street provides only one route for ingress and
