CI~ OF SAN BERNARDlio - RIEQUiT FOR COUNCIL ~ON STAFF REPORT The construction of improvements to La Plaza Park was satisfactorily completed as of 4-2-85. The contract for this project was awarded for the low bid price of $44,594.90. The actual final contract price will be $44,556.90, due to the adjustements in cost by Change Orders No. One and Two. The plans direct the Contractor to install two tile blocks, with the legends of "MEN" and "WOMEN". However, these sign blocks were made by only one firm that has ceased making these items. Change Order No. Two will delete these sign blocks from the contract, and decrease the contract price by $500.00. Signs to designate the restrooms as to sex will be installed by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services. We have reviewed the credit of $500.00, and feel that it is a fair amount. Therefore, we recommend that Change Order No. Two be approved, and also, that the work be approved and accepted. 2
