In response to Council direction, I contacted Mrs. Betty
Davidow of the Inland Mediation Board regarding the agreement
for rent increase mediation. I asked Mrs. Davidow whether
she would be willing to insert in the agreement a $51111 per
case limit with the understanding that before any costs were
incurred above the $51111 limit, she would return to Council to
obtain approval.
Mrs. Davidow indicated that all of her agreements include the
$511 per hour rate and that she did not wish to make any
modification relating to a $51111 limit. Mrs. Davidow
indicated that she has had only one case go over $51111. She
is willing to execute the agreement as presented to City
Council on March 18.
